Well, it didn't take too long to spiral out on this.
New cr10s 5 purchased =read: Big desktop 3dprinter. After a few test prints looked fine, decided I wanted to try to improve. Upgrade schedule got pushed with a poor mistake on my part with the filament spool knot causing physical crash to a print, damage to the motherboard as well, yay.
The list of tweaks so far?
-Octoprint with touch ui at printer, this wasn't too crazy, connectivity is massively expanded, adds camera with great time-lapse functions, and the open source is key. https://octoprint.org/
-E3d clone nozzle with thingiverse mount from Chito: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2494642
-Ramps 1.4 Arduino mega controller currently in process (would have used the Newer Arduino 32 bit if it was available) many options available online. Running Marlin 1.1.7 for the firmware.
-Bltouch bed level sensor which would have been one of the first upgrades.
-Keenovo 500mm bed heater, this made sense since I had plans to do batch prints covering the entire bed. It was a vast improvement over the stock and heats up much faster.
More to comer later.
