Z alt Function is a design and fabricator based in Fairfield, CA. We team up with clients to enable their strongest visions, using a wide range of materials and techniques. We have curated and fabricated designs for museum installations, educational centers, playgrounds, restaurants and civic sculpture.

Zack Whitaker is Owner/Creative Director at Z alt Function. Before opening up his own fabrication house, he worked successfully across his native Bay Area in positions as widely varied as managing large-scale projects for Scientific art studio, Lead Auto Technician, Display Designer, and Event Chef. He is a connected problem-solver and artist who puts a premium on creative content and clients.
